Privacy Policy

No data collection

Marksmith Forge does not collect, store, transmit, sell, share, or otherwise process personal information. There are no user accounts and no registration is required.

The application does not collect names, contact or account information, device identifiers, IP addresses, location, analytics, crash reports, telemetry, advertising identifiers, document contents, exported contents, file names, file paths, or browsing history.

Local and offline processing

Files opened with Marksmith Forge are processed on your computer. Document conversion, export, mathematical notation, and Mermaid diagram rendering use code bundled with the application.

Documents and diagram source are not sent to a CDN, remote renderer, analytics provider, or Marksmith Forge server. Your documents remain on your device unless you choose to move, upload, email, or otherwise share them.

File access

Marksmith Forge accesses files only when needed to open a document, resolve a supported local asset, or save an export to a destination you choose. It does not scan or index unrelated files.

Internet connection and third parties

An internet connection is not required for core editing, preview, Mermaid rendering, or export. The application does not transmit documents or personal information to third-party services. Normal operating-system file selection and saving interfaces remain subject to the operating system’s own behavior.

Advertising, analytics, and tracking

Marksmith Forge contains no advertisements and uses no analytics, telemetry, cookies, tracking pixels, advertising identifiers, fingerprinting, session recording, or behavioral monitoring.

Children’s privacy

Because Marksmith Forge does not collect personal information from any user, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security and your files

Marksmith Forge does not maintain a server-side database of user documents or personal information. You remain responsible for files stored on your device and for keeping appropriate backups.

Policy changes

This policy may be updated if application functionality changes. If a future version collects or transmits information, the policy will be updated before that behavior is represented as covered here.
